Long Live Harold Norse – The Carnivorous Saint

I was sad to read yesterday that Harold Norse passed away on June 8. Norse was a true poetic innovator and gay rights pioneer. He was revered by many and was proclaimed by William Carlos Williams as the best poet of his generation.

For those who have not had the pleasure I recommend you seek out a copy of his The Love Poems and his autobiography Memoirs of a Bastard Angel.
