The latest issue of Dr Hurley’s Snake Oil Cure (Vol. II, issue 52), guest edited by Michael Fitzgerald-Clarke, features my poem, A Bird Calls, (taken from the long poem, I, land, that will be published as a chapbook later in the year) and a fine poem by Christina Murphy, titled Seedpods.
You can view the issue here.
And be sure to keep your eyes on the site this coming week as the next issue will feature poems by Brisbane poets, Luke Best and Anna Jacobson.
I was also fortunate to have a haiku published on the large digital sign on the corner of Mounts Bay Rd and Hackett Drive in Perth this weekend. Poet’s Corner is an initiative of the University of Western Australia’s Cultural Precinct, Trove and the UWA Guild that aims to publish poetry in public places using digital media. You can check out more about the project here.
The poem I had published was:
still morning
the blue heron steps
over a cloud
