the blush of
bougainvillea

that we might have
bigger fires

*

Australian quality
stainless steel legs
on the lawn swan

*

so deceptive
the neighbour’s manicured nails

*

deaccelerate
as a gymnast slips
wetly off the bar

*

sun warmed
the orphaned nestling
