Who Would Have ‘Thunk’ It?

No, that’s not a typo… I am officially, Thunk-Of-The-Month!

ThunkBook-Coverpage

ThunkBook is a new journal (the wild cousin of the now shelved, Pressed Literary Journal) coming out of Taiwan. So what’s with the name? Here’s what head honcho Joel McCaffery has to say:

Well, apart from thunk’s Seussian roots, and hailing from the notorious ‘unk’ family of rhyme, whose dratted heritage of auditory cursedness include such gems as: sunk, funk, skunk, stunk, gunk, plunk, spunk, bunk, punk, junk . . . it, perhaps more pertinently, also happens to be the sound of an epiphany finding its mark deep down in your noggin’s abyss. And so, when thunk is married to something as monumentally sonorous as ‘book’, it creates in itself an entity as ineffably resonant as your thoughts on the matter. ThunkBook.

So why not head over and check out my Thunk-Of-The-Month feature and while you are there, make sure you read the submission guidelines. You still have just over 2-weeks to send them a shot or two of your finest words.
