Tuesday Poem (and a big thank you)

The delightful Jennifer Compton has featured my poem, The Promise of Storms on her site, Stillcraic as the ‘Tuesday Poem’. The Promise of Storms was recently published in the 2012 issue of fourW magazine, which I am excited to be published in. I am now eagerly awaiting my copy of the issue as it is always up there with my favourite magazines published in any year and one I am always happy for my poems to find a home in.

Here’s the link to read the poem.

I also want to say a massive thank you to everyone who has donated so generously to the Hands Up for Indigenous Literacy Project. To each of you, Charles Martin, Brad Frederiksen, John Wainwright, Felicity Plunkett, Luke Best, angela rawlings, Michael Fitzgerald-Clarke, Meg Vann & Sarah Gory, you are helping to close the literacy gap for young people in indigenous communities forever.

And to all those people who have helped to spread the word… thank you, the more people that know about this, the closer we are to reaching and or exceeding our target.

After just two days, together we have raised $200. Almost half way to my target of raising $520, which provides 6 months teaching to a young person in a remote indigenous community.

So let’s keep things rolling toward this life changing target!
