Ferris Wheel

What is up there you hope to bring back?

The sky has cried its eyes out
and the westerly has forgotten how to sing.

Come down,
I am on stage reading poems.

  1. How I like this! I have often thought there must be a poem in the ferris wheel–something about being at the top and being pulled around again has always appealed to me. Love the last line.

  2. This brought a smile to my day.

  3. Haha – lovely poem – I know things are a little different at the Ekka this year, so maybe that’s why the westerly is not singing ;) Hope you get a big crowd listening to your poems.
