QLD Poetry Festival is now only a matter of days away… and I am filling with that wonderful nervous energy that performing there brings. It is going to be a very special gig, as it wil be the first time Sheish and I have worked with a full band (Namedropper) together on stage and it will be the premiere screening of the photographs taken by Cindy Keong over the past 12 months. Together we will bring to life six poems from my latest collection, Ocean Hearted; the oral and visual narratives intertwining to deepen the experience for the audience.
And to top it off, we are performing in the same session with Emily XYZ & Myers Bartlett!
The full details are:
NeonBlisters
feat: Graham Nunn & Sheish Money w/ Namedropper + visuals by Cindy Keong
Saturday August 28, 6:00pm – 7:00pm
Performance Space, Judith Wright Centre of Contemporary Arts
Entry is free
To give you all another taste of the performance, here is a short film for my poem White Crane, which we will perform as part of the session. If you are in Brisbane or anywhere near it for that matter, QLD Poetry Festival is the place to be next weekend (August 27 – 29)… Full details are available at www.queenslandpoetryfestival.com
See you there…

Beautiful! ‘Try to mourn here…’ – awesome G.
Thanks H. Can’t believe I am going to see you soon!!!
It really ripples!
A beautiful presentation, Graham. I’m very fond of this optimistic poem. Life goes on…
I’m going to send it to a friend of mine flying back to Aus tonight having buried his Mum and left his father alone at home. I hope it will help him. Thanks.
Glad it ripples JDub. Thanks for sending this link around to. Much appreciated!

That was just a great reading…wish I could get to that part of the world and watch the festival…maybe next year…I’ll have to schedule it well in advance given the flight time there. Cheers…and hope to see more videos of your performance since some of cannot get there.
Thanks SLP. Would love to see you out here. It is a beautiful country and the fesival is totally amazing!
