Contours

i.

it’s curious how peaches ripen
with intention

just as a young cat comes
into heat

whether it wants to
or not

ii.

I found you caressing mushroom caps
on your knees

had I been a whale I would have put
you inside me

iii.

trees lift up their skirts
in response

eyeballing this assembly
of curves

you cultivate the ruined parts
of yourself
